We are pleased to inform our readers and authors that one of our published clinical trials titled “The Influence of Oral Ginger before Operation on Nausea and Vomiting after Cataract Surgery under General Anesthesia: A double-blind placebo-controlled randomized clinical trial”, has received the highest score for clinical trials based on “AORN research evidence appraisal tool”. According to Nancy Girard, an expert who reviewed the paper, the paper represents the best research evidence available and the findings of this research is recommended for perioperative nurses to consider this evidence in guiding their future practice.

Using the “AORN research evidence appraisal tool”, the published trial on Electronic Physician successfully got the highest possible score for clinical trials (Score I A). According to Nancy Girard, the study was scored as A for quality of evidence because it included safeguards against bias, used an adequate sample size, had a well-controlled design, and presented results that led to definite conclusions.
